Edit Message Source

Post by Walter, guest »

TB 0.4, Win XP: When I edit Message Source nothing works therein.
It also didn't work in TB 0.3, but all works in Mozilla.

You ask why one should edit Message Source?
Only so you are able to copy headers (and to search in headers).

If you press CTRL-U on an e-mail, you get to view the source. There's an edit button on the toolbar with a dropdown menu with the standard options. But you can't, for instance, delete part of the source.
Maybe the menu label is misleading?

No, I think he means that the menu items of the edit menu don't work (which is a known issue).
Though, as a workaround, you can copy text from the source window with Ctrl+C shortcut.

Malte is right. I hadn't actually tried anything, but clicking copy from the menu leaves my paste button disabled in a compose window.

In Mozilla it's called View / Message Source. It's what you mean.
I don't want to modify the source (I know it's not possible), but I want to copy especially the headers.
