Using Linux Mandrake 9.2
When trying to open an HTML page from Thunderbirg, I get the following message:

Application "galeon-bin" (process 4365) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)

Since I am using MozillaFirebird I would like to use this as a default, however I have been unable to find where to select this in the options.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year

To make Firebird the default Browser in Gnome go to the Gnome Control Centre> Advanced> Preferred Applications and set Custom Web Browser: Command: to the /path/to/MozillaFirebird/MozillaFirebird "%s" (or %s, both seem to work). Change /path/to to reflect the place you installed Firebird.

If you can log out and then log in again on Gnome just to make the adjustments I described above it would be a lot easier, otherwise, read this http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunder ... xurls.html and this http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=40091
Good luck
