Excuse my poor English.
I used to create a shortcut in my desktop likned to "mailto:" and executing it a Thunderbird composing mail windows was opened although Thunderbird was closed. Then I installed Opera and this stopped working. Now I unistalled Opera and installed Thunderbird 0.5 but this protocol continues with no association. How can I repare it?

Por si alguien entiende castellano:
Tenía un acceso directo en el escritorio al protocolo "mailto:". Al ejecutarlo se abría la típica ventana de Thunderbird de componer correo, aunque el Thunderbird estuviese cerrado. Podía escribir y mandar el correo desde esa ventanita, sin siquiera abrir el Thunderbird en sí. Al instalar Opera, ese enlace dejó de funcionar. Ahora quité Opera y puse el Thunderbird 0.5, pero la cosa sigue igual. Cómo lo podría arreglar?

be sure that the mailto protocol is associated with thunderbird. in windows explorer go to tools->folder options->file types and in the top of the list there will be mailto: associtate thunderbird wiht it and it should work

The problem is that mailto: isn't in this list.
