Import .WAB?

User Help for Mozilla Thunderbird

Post Posted February 13th, 2004, 9:01 pm

I have done a clean install of win98 with no IE/OE.

I have my .WAB file, but I can't get TB.5 to recognize it, it responds with "can't find outlook" if I try the OE import, and it can't see the .WAB as a text file. If I try "all files" in import as text file, I just get an error message.

Anyone heard of a workaround for this?

You might try this.
Send your .wab file to a friend who still has OE in his computer and ask him to put it in with his other OE .wab file(s), then he could convert it to a .csv text file that just about any email client can read. He could then send the .csv file to you to import into your TBird.
I don't have OE any more or I'd volunteer to help.
Worth a try,

Thanks Dave,

At least I understand the process. From your response, I take it that OE will export a .csv file. I think I can manage to get someone to help. THANKS for the info!!
