I'm a newcomer to Thunderbird and Firefox and loving more by the minute. I share my computer with my two daughters and that's fine, I don't want to create any windows profiles but the profile for Firefox is good and we use it. I would also like to have this with Thunderbird but, if it is possible, I can't find out how to impliment it. can anyone help?
Cheers.

Use the Profile Manager to create the necessary profiles (see http://texturizer.net/thunderbird/faq.h ... ilemanager).
See this page how to bypass the profile manger to open a specific profile http://www.mozilla.org/docs/command-line-args.html (the page is for Mozilla, but I am pretty sure it applies to Thunderbird also).
