Missing sent folder

Just wanted to say 'thanks' to the forum and its members; this information helped me solve my own missing Sent folder issue.
I've just recently upgraded to Windows 7 (I know, a bit late in the game) and going through the discovery process and the usual trials and tribulations related to a new o/s.

As far as my missing Sent folder issue went...turns out I was just freaking out a little.
I installed T-bird, and finally got the mail settings correct and my inbox sprang to life.
I immediately noticed no Sent folder present at all; checked the settings, everything was as it should be.

I hadn't replied to any emails yet, nor had I sent any new ones.
As soon as I sent myself a test message, the Sent folder appeared... :-"

I appreciate the logical process that you've all displayed in resolving the original issue, and for helping me pull my head out of my... :oops:
