Hi there,

I was copying roughly 5000 emails from one folder to another. For some strange reason about 50 emails did not copy and unfortunately, these mails are not clustered together.

I was wondering if there is any way to compare the contents of two folders and find which emails are missing from the smaller folder. Otherwise I suppose will just have to delete all the mails in the smaller folder and start the copy process again.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

You could dump the list of messages in each folder to a text file using this extension -- https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html
Then there are freeware file comparison utilities that would identify the differences between the two files. Just for one -

You do not need any extension. Each folder is already a text file. To find a folder file, get a context menu for the folder (for example, by right-clicking it), choose Copy Folder Location, and paste the location somewhere you can read it.

Both solutions will work. Using the extension simply eliminates all the header data making the comparison a bit simpler.
