Re: Translation Web Page (TWP as in firefox)
I'll just note that SeaMonkey has, Tools | Translate Page...
As far as "porting", AFAIK, there is no porting between webextension & XUL extension.
It would need a re-write.

Doesn't seem to work on my end.therube wrote:I'll just note that SeaMonkey has, Tools | Translate Page...
1. Goto https://fa.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%B5%D9 ... 9%84%DB%8C
2. Tools > Translate page
3. It loads, but the page isn't translated. The exact translate.goog url works in Chromium does though.
Does it work on your end? I even tried restarting in safe mode with addons disabled to be sure.

I can confirm this.
It worked 2 days ago so it seems Google changed something on their side.
I see an error in the console

Translates fine for me on my usual profile (in normal and safe mode options), but not on a clean testing profile.Lef wrote:1. Goto https://fa.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%B5%D9 ... 9%84%DB%8C

Re: Translation Web Page (TWP as in firefox)
Known issue.
Pale Moon came up with a "fix", though frg said (flipping the Pref, dom.enable_performance_navigation_timing) would cause other issues.
So at the moment... ?
(You could flip it, Translate, then flip it back...)
And then, that begs the question as to why it is working for Frank (who was also not running into the google search of "mozillazine" issue)? Might you have the particular Pref flipped in your usual Profile?

edit...
This Pref was also mentioned, & also "fixes" things, but I don't know the implications of flipping it?

When I had set this pref SM after a restart didn't remember is window size and position.therube wrote:This Pref was also mentioned, & also "fixes" things, but I don't know the implications of flipping it?
In SM mail the compose window for new mail opens with full height.

Turns out I have dom.enable_performance_navigation_timing toggled to false in about:config. This is an entry suggested to me a while back by this guy, who, ironically, nobody can read in SM atm - https://m.fndoc.com/api/PerformanceNavi ... iming.htmlFrank Lion wrote: Translates fine for me on my usual profile

No adverse with this setting detected yet.
The only question it begs, is why don't you read exactly what is written?therube wrote:And then, that begs the question as to...Frank (who was also not running into the google search of "mozillazine" issue)

Algorithms 'think' in a specific way, which is why I searched for mozillazine forums there and not for just mozillazine.
Yep, changing random about:config entries, especially ones that therube gives out, is a recipe for disaster.hardys wrote:When I had set this pref SM after a restart didn't remember is window size and position.

No problem with thisFrank Lion wrote:Yep, changing random about:config entries, especially ones that therube gives out, is a recipe for disaster.
I only answered to show what will brake eventually by using this setting.
I'm always thankful for suggestion to solve a problem. And if it doesn't work I switch back to the original settings.
