Seamonkey 2.0 Composer "Saving File Failed"

i cant but scratch my head around this. i tried to mess with the extensions, html, htm, text, txt... i keep getting that message. files appear on my hard drive but are 0 kb and have nothing inside them. please help.

i run gentoo linux, file format is ext3.

i just put seamonkey 2.0 on my mac and i do not have this issue, it saves just fine

No problem here saving to NTFS and Ext3 partitions using Ubuntu 9.10.
But then again, I may be wrong.

No issues on my Ubuntu 9.10 either.

seamonkey 2.0 is hard masked in gentoo (i had unnmasked it to use it). turns out the unmasked gentoo version 1.18 allows me to save properly. im going to have to wait until 2.0 gets released for gentoo.
