Add-on Compatibilites?

Post by CMonkeyBloke »

I don't know if anyone has noticed but some of the featured add-ons, like StumbleUpon aren't actually compatible with SM 2.5. Time to un-feature them I reckon.

Install Add-on Compatibility Reporter 1.0.1 and you can bypass most of the disable problems.

Andy Boze recommended this in another thread and it works well for me.

"Add-ons are compatible by default in Firefox 10+. As a result, the ACR's functionality has changed, and it can no longer be used to force add-ons to be installed."

Has anyone else had any problems with add-on compatibility because of the changes to ACR's functionality?

I have. Try this, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/checkcompatibility/. It restored functionality to some of my non-working extensions after the changes to ACR.
But then again, I may be wrong.

Thanks Andy, I'll give it a try.

I don't use ACR & have never stopped using extensions.checkCompatibility, & AFAIK it still works.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

I'll have to have a closer look at that, thanks.
