Feature Request. Closing Tabs
Would it be possible to add a close button to each tab to make it easier to close them without having to flick acrss the screen to the close button.

I think this should be part of the base Seamonkey along with the ability to color or in some way enhance the active tab so it's easy to spot.

I can't thank smsmith enough for the quick reply but I agree that it would make a great addition to the base of Seamonkey

I want SeaMonkey to wash my dishes, but they decided not to put a kitchen sink in, either.

Re: Feature Request. Closing Tabs
I agree with Rebecca_D and Ztruker that a close button on each tab should be available without recourse to an add-on.
Having the close button on the far right rather than on each tab is inconvenient and seems counter-intuitive.

Just curious, what prevents you from middle-click on tab?

What? No fish cam?
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

You may be interested in changing this Preference until you use a more regular mouse.
Type about:config in the Location (address) bar
filter for ui.click_hold_context_menus
double-click it to toggle it to true

Thanks, that's interesting and will be helpful in Firefox which is my usual browser (I mainly use SeaMonkey for Composer).
Having said that and to get back on topic having to open a contextual menu by whatever means is not as good as a close button actually on the tabs so the add-on cited by smsmith is extremely useful. Pity the feature isn't available via Preferences.

The preference doesn't seem to work, which is why I posted the add-on.
