Venerable Modern Theme

Post by CMonkeyBloke »

Does anyone use Sailfish's Venerable Modern theme? It's very minimalist, clean, smart & easy to see. Nice one Sailfish, this rivals your excellent Simple Green theme. =D> :D 8-)

Modern Mozillium is more or less the same thing but silver-grey. It looks good on my desktop PC. Although I prefer 'Venerable Modern' for my portables & notebook. I've said for a long time that a cleaner & improved version of 'SeaMonkey Modern' (default with SM) would be really good. I think Sailfish has done a great job on both.

Both of those seem kind of metallic and Monochromatic.

They have a bit more colour than the original 'Modern' theme. I'm pretty sure the updating ribbon is green like the default skin & Firefox.

Modern Mozillium Better integration with "Aging Gorilla" than default window theme "Adwaita"

Yeah, sometimes I'm not sure which I like better, Modern Mozilium or Venerable Modern. Just so spoiled for choice! LCARS makes my eyes go funny these days though. So I beamed it back to Scotty.

Isn't that Mozilla's Godzilla clone? Unfortunately it is not as obvious when you have it as a small icon. It's the same throbber icon as on the Nautipolis theme. I think that it is an early Mozilla designed throbber. I'm sure K-Meleon's throbber had something similar. I do like it a lot though as well.

I've just realised that I first downloaded SeaMonkey on this very day in 2008 (according to my calendar anyway). That was 1.1.12 I think. It upgraded to 1.1.13 the very next day. I've been using it ever since.
