I looked at the extension and it's not yet packaged for SeaMonkey. I'm sure it will be once Shumway becomes more usable though.

I would say so, since it runs on JavaScript. I have no idea if it will support H.264 video like Flash does though.

I'm following Shumway as well because it looks like an interesting project. :)

I'm conjecturing that Shumway will require the planned use of OS codecs in order to support non-Theora/WebM content in Firefox. It's probably part of a plan to eventually offer an alternative to Flash for video, although how it deals with Flash website layouts and Flash games may be the deal-breaker.

Come on Shumway !!! i want to watch dailymotion and youtube in SeaMonkey on Linux and Adobe has already ditched me more than an year ago .Meanwhile html5 compliance in websites is nowhere in sight and has stayed a proof of concept for many years now.

Both Dailymotion and YouTube support HTML5 video, but you have to go to their HTML5 trial portals to activate the cookie that turns it on. So you don't actually need Shumway for that, and as mentioned, it's highly questionable as to whether Shumway would help at all because of codec licensing issues.

I have tried this procedure many times in the past
I tried deactivating flash plugin in seamonkey and all three were green(Video tag,h.264,WebM) and joined the trial in www.youtube.com/html5
More than 50% of the videos don't work without flash in youtube. Pure html5 videos are still at proof of concept stage on many of the video streaming sites.

It's not a matter of "don't work" or "proof of concept", it's a matter of websites deciding to support it. YouTube has chosen to only offer some of their content in HTML5-compatible formats, and the only reason they began supporting it to begin with is because Apple refused to implement Flash on the iPhone, so they worked up a deal. Considering all of the politics and the legal complexities, I suspect it will be a long time before this issue is resolved.

I'm not sure if I want an Alien Life Form inhabiting my SeaMonkey.

You can add &html5=True (with a capital "T" for true) to the end of YouTube URLs to force HTML5 support. YouTube doesn't provide HTML5 support for some videos though.

Alternatively, you could use youtube-dl, a command-line program for downloading YouTube videos.
