when u use gmail there is a option "sign out " (logout in some sites). once you are signed out, the mails are not visible. you need to log in again to view the mails.

such a feature is available in seamonkey??? if no, can we add such a feature?

I would think that most to all sites you login on a member account would then have a logout or signout link in place of where the login link was or is located by your logged in username on site. For example on this forum there is a Logout link by your username on right sidebar -> as a example.

Or are you thinking of say a button on SeaMonkey toolbar that will clear the cookies related to the site you were logged in on and therefore logs you out as a result due to clearing appropriate cookie(s) ?.

From a technical perspective it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to have a button that deleted certain site cookies. (At least for a developer familiar with managing cookies). However, it would probably also end up deleting any stored site preferences as well. An extension that surgically disabled only the login would be much more complicated and fragile to changes.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

From efg's perspective this is the best solution . It does provide a button on toolbar :-)

Yeah, I looked at that... it's probably the closest thing. Maybe request this feature?

Assuming it is a cookie that keeps you logged in (not always) then a bookmarklet that Removes cookies set by the site would likely do the job.
