Re: whellmouse does not run on tabs
I have this feature. It's part of the Mouse Gestures Suite, which is fantastic.

Re: whellmouse does not run on tabs
I may be misunderstanding, but I think the OP wants the page itself to scroll when the mouse cursor is over the tab, not the tabs to cycle one to the next. I think Mouse Gestures Suite can only scroll through the tabs; at least I don't see an option to scroll the page while hovering on a tab. If he does mean to have the tabs cycle, there's also another option. SeaMonkey has the feature built in, but it's not activated by default. There's a preference browser.tabs.mouseScrollAdvancesTab in about:config that, when set to true, will cycle through the tabs with the mouse wheel when the mouse cursor hovers over them.

But then again, I may be wrong.

Yeah, after re-reading it, you're probably right.

yep, that is what i mean & need.
it will be very usefull when you monitoring the content of the page (with auto log complete, so you have to go to the end of the page each time)

Two things can happen (neither of which I like).
1) the tab bar can scroll, without changing the current tab, or
2) the next/previous tab will load.
Of those two evil's, I much prefer the first.
The pref browser.tabs.mouseScrollAdvancesTab determines which happens.

I didn't realize 1) would occur. I guess I rarely have that many tabs open. Yes, 2) is really annoying. I just found you can switch the behavior between 1) and 2) by holding the Shift key while using the scroll wheel.
