is there a PAUSE feature ?

Post by Michael REMY »

hi,

is there a pause feature ? a button like Pause button of all activities of a webpage/tab.

often , i need to copy the url address, but there is some crappy javascripts which goes on and detect i leave the page then throw me away to another url page.

it would great if there were a PAUSE button or a real STOP button which would stop all javascript activities, all timeout, all flash video.
At least when a tab doesn't have the focus, that would be automatic to stop it.

have a great day

Not a pause, but Bookmarklets for Zapping Annoyances might come in handy.
Note that a "zap" will not always stop "everything" (in particular it may not be able to stop "all" video clips).
Fire 750, bring back 250.

I've never been clear on how much of what you want gets accomplished by toggling about:config > javascript.enabled ...

This is why I usually use NoScript. Loads pages faster too.

NoScript definitely does not have such a feature as requested by the OP, but people have requested similar before. Here's one example https://forums.informaction.com/viewtop ... 10&t=20798
