I just upgraded to the latest v.1.1.7 for SeaMonkey. I can't get the close tab button, like the one on FF, to appear. How do I do this?

SeaMonkey still uses the Firefox 1.5 style Tab Close button on the right hand side of the Tab Bar....

To get the Firefox 2 style behaviour (with a button on each tab).... Install the Tab X Extension, from here http://users.skynet.be/fa258499/hackedexts.html#tabx

Thanks for the suggestion, but it will not allow me to download extension. I keep getting a message that said that Install script isn't found. I get that for some of the other extensions for Seamonkey, like Fast Dial. Why is that?

To close a tab you can click on it with the middle mouse button.

Give the link above a try again.
The website was changed slightly to make it less confusing.
It should work.

Is there a reason why seamonkey still hasn't added a close tab button on tabs?

I was working on it but got fed up with people bikeshedding on my patch. I need to work up some motivation to get it going again.

I was working on it

Optional, right :-).

This should work, SeaTab X if the former (Tab-X, I mean) doesn't.

I hate it NO NO NO close tab, firefox debacle.
