Email Password

Post by Germ »

Is there a way to get Mozilla Mail to keep my email password without enabling the remembering of passwords globally? I do not like to use that feature in web browsing.

I would like to manage email passwords in the email (setrver) configuration, not as part of the password manager. This should be completely seperate.

Unfortunately, no, at least not one that I am aware of. If you select "do not remember password", this PSM feature is completely disabled.

It would be really nice if it could be managed seperately from the browser. Does that sound do-able?

I totally agree with the parent. I can't stand the password manager when I'm browsing, but I need it for the mailer. :( Have you searched bugzilla to see if someone has filed an RFE bug?
