It works just fine when Windows is in Safe Mode. Must be a Windows 10 Home 64 bit problem.

I guess I didn't mention that I did that. SeaMonkey 2.48 worked perfectly in Safe Mode and normally when Windows was in Safe Mode. That is why I figure the problem is with Windows and shutting down Windows Defender didn't make difference. Not sure where to look next.

Or something that is not loading/running in (Windows) safe mode.
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Once in Windows Safe Mode is there a way to know what is not running and how can I add them one by one to find the problem.

Just a hunch. Go into services and stop the "Delivery Optimization" Service. I have seen this one creating hundreds of TCPIP connections occasionally. Not really needed. Used by Windows Updates but they will work without it.

Thanks frg. I tried that and ran SM 2.48 before i rebooted and after. No change. The downloading of emails crawls and moving message to message crawls in the Inbox. Once out of the Inbox and into sub-folders it works like normal. Have not figured out how to debug Windows.

Tried Windows Mail and it works fine. However it is a crappy reader. Can't see a way to sort into sub folders and I don't like the interface. Any ideas why it works but not SeaMonkey nor Thunderbird.

I also just tried running SeaMonkey in Administrator mode, no luck. I am getting very annoyed with this and obviously no help from MicroSoft.

Peruse though what Autoruns runs gives you.
Perhaps something there might clue you in... ?
(Use more as an inquiry tool rather then to haphazardly stop items from running.)

Windows 10 Home 64 bit version 1703 still a pain in the you know what but I really need to get my emails with SeaMonkey 2.48 working. It is annoying to start in Windows Safe Mode all the time to read my emails. I noticed that my mouse cursor automatically goes to OK to advance to the next sub folder which it doesn't in normal Windows mode. So therube, what should I look for in Autoruns that might be the problem?
