multiple files created
I'm getting multiple files that are being created. Files such as sessionstore.json and prefs.js. They go from prefs-1, prefs-2, and so on up to prefs-10000, and higher. They're being created when SM is open. When I close it they stop. They're not marked as read only, and they're 0 KB. Any ideas what going on? I couldn't find anything at mozillazine kb.

Re: multiple files created
That's usually a permissions issue.
(Something causing attempted writes to fail.)
Exit SeaMonkey.
Back up.
Delete all the -1 -2... 0-byte files.
If you don't need sessionstore.json / prefs.js, delete them.
Restart SeaMonkey.
See if that doesn't fix things.
If you do need the existing sessionstore... files, then check their permissions, adjust as needed...
(Maybe they were created with admin privileges, yet you are [now] running as a standard user...)

Fire 750, bring back 250.

Re: multiple files created
I deleted the files and things seem to be ok now.therube wrote:Delete all the -1 -2... 0-byte files.
