I want to redirect say google.com to yahoo.com. So far I can make a greasemonkey script to do so, but it first waits for Seamonkey to load google.com. I however at no time want Seamonkey to talk to google.com, I just want it to go straight to Yahoo.com.

Is there an extension or some way to do this?

So it seems there's an old extension:

However throwing it into the converted only gives me a "Redirector does not work in Private Mode"
There's also a palemoon fork that appears to get further when converted, but the buttons to create or edit a filter do nothing.

Don't type/click google.com! Simple, isn't it?

But if you want to change SEARCH ENGINE available from e.g. Address Bar then:
Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Browser -> Internet Search -> in field "Default Search Engine" make you choice in "Search using:" and choose Yahoo

Works?

If the address you want to change is not to a search engine but some other address and you really want to change it every time it occurs and you always want it changed the same way, then you could possibly use the hosts file for address translation. You can read about the hosts file e g here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_%28file%29

EDIT:ed once for typo.
Every person is unique, except for me.
