Help me please!
How to hide "new tab" and "close tab" buttons from tabs bar ?
And how add a "new tab" button to address bar ? Unfortunately I didn't find this one in customize window ...

Thanks to all in advance.

put the following script into your userChrome.css file or in the Stylish addon:
Code: Select all
.tabs-closebutton-box,
.tabs-newbutton
{display: none !important;}
And how add a "new tab" button to address bar ? Unfortunately I didn't find this one in customize window ...
you may have to hunt for an addon for that one.

Didn't work -- posted in the link as well:

Ok, when I take the 'example' file and copy it and rename it and add the above script,
nothing changes. I tried removing all the other content from the file except the above
script and nothing happened. Still have the mail tab. I must have missed something.
The .css file didn't exist, so I had to get the example file and create one according to
the instructions inside the file itself. It didn't tell me to dump all the instruction contents,
but I tried both ways with no change in tab behavior...

Yes.
I copied and renamed the example file and emptied it and added the script
and closed the program and still have the mail tab...

get the addon stylish. I find this works better than fiddling with the .css files: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/addon/2108

I downloaded Stylish and opened a blank and inserted the code and restarted
Seamonkey, but the tab is still there in the mail program...

Oh, except the tab icon at the end is gone -- no way to have more than one -- but
the tab itself is still taking up a line at the top of the already-crowded Mail window.
Is there a way to get rid of the entire line that it sits on?...thanks for the help...

And it also took the icon out of my browser! That will have to go. I use tabs in the browser.

I think I took the wrong line of script.
Where is the one specific for mail and not this one?

.tabs-closebutton-box,
.tabs-newbutton
{display: none !important;}
