Has anybody found a way to use SM for mail only?
I wish to have clicked links in SM mail open in another browser but still have remote embedded images displayed inline as would normally happen if SM were a mail only client.
How can I use SM for mail only?

I believe there were some earlier threads here about setting network.protocol-handler.external.* (http, https ...), but don't recall if that was successful or not.
Oh, it was you I was thinking of, SeaMonkey Mail - change default browser.
So why start another thread?

The trouble with that solution is that SM then attempts to use the default browser for mail SSL and embedded images - in short it is worse than useless.
