Not the file... in the CSS you need to contain the height and width of the icons in the urlbar so they don't grow. Something like this might work, although I don't have that addon, so I can't be more specific:

Code: Select all
#urlbar-icons image {
   height:16px;
   width:16px;
}
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

Oooooooopsss :roll: :oops:

No problem, thank you very much for your kindness. :)

I don't need to try anymore: I switched to Dir Up [https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/dirup/] which works fine after conversion.
It is simpler than Navigate Up but for me is more effective, and I also like the fact that I can put the toolbar button wherever I want (side note: I really like the add-ons written by this developer, SilentBlock in particular).

Thank you!

(Just to point out, Alt+UP has long been a SeaMonkey shortcut.)

Time for a small update with positive news :)
Diamanti wrote:When i trye console to bottom addon the copy menu item in the context menu is disabled.
Also if i open "chrome://global/content/console.xul]console.xul" in tab is disabled.
Do it is possible to renable it?

This extension didn't work for me at all but it needed only a simple id replacement. The converter has been updated so now you should be able to run Bottom Error Console without any problems! It is accessed via the View menu and it also has an optional toolbar button.

therube wrote:Zoomr also works.

Nice, I've added it to the list!

I noticed just a small problem with the address bar and icons dimension.

patrickjdempsey wrote:That's a default theme bug.... for some reason the SeaMonkey default theme is very very picky about the height of elements in the urlbar.

Actually, in this case the problem was too much padding plus an undesirable empty image for the "go to" icon, which does not exist in SM but adversely affects the display of neighbouring icons. I managed to get the converter to fix those so if anyone wants this extension it will now nicely behave in SM without any display problems!

Wow, I never suspected SM had this option built-in - nice :D

Finally, beginning with SeaMonkey 2.32 Beta 2 the current Ghostery extension works after conversion. A few more extensions will work with SeaMonkey 2.33, which will include another portion of compatibility improvements with Firefox SDK add-ons.

Converted Findbar Tweak, which converted and installed fine, but doesn't seem to work properly. For instance, things like highlight all find instances doesn't work, nor does changing the colour of the highlight. Pity, it's a cool addon that adds to my productivity. Anyway, thought I'd mention this for the list of not working extensions.

Did you try the release version or the development version (not that I have any idea if the other would work)?

@Lemon Juice, thanks for the Converter (& for your work on the Session Restore bug) :-).

Sorry, was posting with Firefox. I was using the latest release of SeaMonkey (2.32). If you were referring to Findbar Tweak, then I was using the latest release version (1.4.18). I'll try the development and edit my post to confirm it works or not.

Edit - The development version of Findbar Tweak still doesn't work on the latest release version of SeaMonkey when converted.

Also, despite the failure I mention above, I'd also like to thank Lemon Juice for this converter. It certainly has made it more convenient for those wanting to convert from Firefox to SeaMonkey.

The implementation of the Findbar is different in Firefox and SeaMonkey and there are known things about the Findbar in SeaMonkey that are broken. The biggest things people seem to want Findbar Tweak for is to move the Findbar to the top, and make it run in all tabs and not be per-tab... both of which are default behavior for SeaMonkey.

I'm glad you find the converter useful :D

As to Findbar Tweak I added one change to the converter - the interface name "fuelIApplication" is named "smileIApplication" in SeaMonkey. This improved Findbar Tweak a little bit - I wouldn't say that it works in SM but at least it starts without errors and some minimal functionality is there - for example, customizing highlight colours works and also options for selections (selecting spaces, punctuation, etc.). The funny thing is that Findbar Tweak actually works (mostly) in View Source window! This indicates it could be adapted to work in SM fully but only with manual work. This extension is quite complex and it has specific tweaks for many different Fx versions + workarounds for some existing Fx bugs - quite dirty but maybe there is no other way? SM's findbar is yet a bit different so this makes things even more complicated.

Yes, that is a very sane approach in SM and I like it!

"Add to Search Bar" updated to version 2.8, still working fine.

Snap Links Plus
https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/a ... linksplus/
Button on AMO greyed but installed anyway: working, no conversion needed.

Image Picker
https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/a ... ge-picker/
Button greyed, installed anyway: not working.
Converted and installed: you can't choose downloads folder with built-in browser (but is possible to insert manually the full path) and not working.

Save Images
https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/a ... ve-images/
Button greyed, installed anyway
Installation and configuration ok, but not working.
Error:
Image

After conversion: just made some basic test, but seems working fine!

However it would be great to have also "image picker" working, because to me it seems a little easier and more intuitive to use (it's a lie: I'm lazy, so given that already use "image picker" with IceWeasel I do not want to learn to use a new extension... :D ).

Thank You very much!

EDIT.
GNotifier
https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/gnotifier/
Need update for SeaMonkey 2.32.
Converted, working fine.

AMO and addon-signing. All addons will have to be signed and reviewed by AMO editors including extensions not hosted on AMO. Otherwise they'll be disabled.

I haven't found any more information on this - what does this mean and how is this going to be implemented? Is Mozilla going the same route as Chrome with imposing their rules on what extensions can be installed and denying users the right to choose on their own? :evil: Depending on how this gets implemented it can mean the end of the add-on converter as well as any other independent modified extensions sites.

I've split this discussion off to its own dedicated thread in the SeaMonkey Builds forum as it's gaining momentum, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2907359

Useful tool. Although the likelihood of something working efficiently varies, this does greatly simplify the process of modifying the extension's application target to match that of SM.
Nice :)

I don't care about cookies: https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/a ... t-cookies/
Seems working fine after conversion: tested with http://www.bing.com and few other websites.

:)

EDIT
I forgot: seems working fine, except for the right-click menu entry "Report a cookie warning". #-o

Could you add a link to the first post of this thread or to a list of working/non-working extensions? Thanks!
