The new 2.29.1 still has the same problems I found in 2.29 with the address book.

To be expected.

I'm using 2.30b2 right now. Address problem is solved on my end. All my add on's came over fine also. Been using this for over an hour. No problems visiting any sites so far. As far as the .json problem the one user is having. Can't help you on that one.

I noticed that SM 2.30 has been released. Any confirmation that the address book sorting failure bug has been fixed in the official 2.30 release? This is a showstopper bug for me and I reverted from 2.29 back to 2.26.1 in the meantime.

Nope. But good that now I know the bookmark restore function was broken too in 2.29. Not moving from 2.26.1 until that's also fixed. Something I didn't realize was also broken. This is a critical function I use to transfer one computer's SM bookmarks to another computer's bookmarks, so I'll wait for later version releases which hopefully fixes this.

I guess you're happy, ;) with an unsecure and obsolete system as Windoze XP and an unsecure version (critical vulnerabilities) of SeaMonkey Suite. Image
... This is a critical function I use to transfer one computer's SM bookmarks to another computer's bookmarks ...

It's simple. You could copy places.sqlite file (bookmarks & history) from one computer to another one, and you're done. Image

Even more simple ... user_pref("browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML", true);

Sorry but this problem has not been fixed yet in v2.30,
when I type the email target address there are not matches with the addresses stored in the data manager,
it seems is not able to access to the correct address local data book,
I have to manually open the tool, change the selection of combo to my address book name and select the desired addresses,
for any reason this functionality is not working well,
thanks.
regards.

Now it is not able to pick up a contact from my 'AgendaPC' personal address book where always all my contacts have been stored.
By default it only takes them from 'Personal Address Book', doesn't allow to use the rest of the books as it did in the past versions (before 2.29).
AgendaPC is a .ldif file I had imported from other pc. (I attach a screenshoot)
