can we put the download manager in a separate process ?

Post by Michael REMY »

hi,

each time Seamonkey crashes and freezes, it impacts the download manager except the moment when the bug concerned a plugin (like Flash) where you can kill the plugin process (in windows task manager) and save&keep the download manager running.

but once seamonkey crashed and froze, you lost the download manager focus and all the running job in .
Even you can't run another seamonkey instance (a second broswer of seamonkey) to preserve and kill the old one.

there should be a way to separate the process of the download manager from falling with seamonkey...

Moreover, when you restart seamonkey there is that stupid little sound which said that yours download are completed whereas they are shrunked and failed !!

have a good day.
