LOST PASSWORDS IN 2.39 & 2.40

Post by marico »

I downloaded 2.39 when it first came out. Lost all my saved passwords. Spent days trying to find out get them back to no avail. Went back to 2.38 and everything was fine. Now am trying 2.40 because have been getting "SM is not responding" problems frequently. But 2.40 loses my saved passwords.

Did you loose them or couldn't you just access them?

Totally disappeared from data manager. When I click on passwords only, everything is blank.

I clicked on the topic you posted and they are talking about a 2.43. I don't see a 2.43 anywhere. I am not a techie but I can usually follow instructions. Thanks for your help.

Did you read post where was mentioned "old method"? Use this URL and it will open old password manager:

Code: Select all

chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul
Are they visible?

WOW! Thank you. So now I disregard using Tools - Password Manager and just bookmark this url. Using Sea Monkey, I can just add it to my home page.

Thanks much.
