Cardbook add-on

Post by paluster »

Has anyone managed to get the Cardbook add-on to work with Seamonkey? Using 2.40 and getting tired of shifting addresses via Thunderbird export/inport

When I click on the Cardbook button the tab is created but it is blank. As long as I ignore it everything is OK but if I click on the tab then tyhe whole UI stope working (have to close the mail client and restart it. Messages on the Error Console are

Timestamp: 28/06/16 20:02:37
Error: TypeError: document.getElementById(...) is null
Source File: chrome://cardbook/content/ovl_cardbook.js
Line: 23

when I click on the Cardbook button

and

Timestamp: 28/06/16 20:03:07
Error: TypeError: aTab.browser is undefined
Source File: chrome://cardbook/content/ovl_cardbook.js
Line: 103

when I click on the tab.

Any ideas gratefully received - already modified install.rdf to get the add-on loaded.

Other then that, did you run it through the Converter (as that may do more then just change install.rdf)?

This may show up twice, or I've posted it already to some other thread by mistake.

Tried the converter but I get the same errors when I try to use the converted add-on

Just in case anyone else was trying to get this to work, the combination of Seamonkey 2.40 and Cardbook 14.2 appears to be working. I've disabled auto update on the extension just in case :-)
