SM 2.49 has Gecko 49.0 and Firefox 49.0 and later no longer supports OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 so unless SeaMonkey community were to build SeaMonkey Release with support for OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8 you will need OSX 10.9 or later.

What previous posts?
What issues?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

The issues are with the build system used to get the Releases out the door, not the browser itself.

Except for the language packs, I think there are less problems with 2.46 than with 2.40. A couple of major bugs were fixed with 2.45, actually.

Well, I want to update to Sierra, but I understand from previous posts on this forum, that there are some issues with 2.46, so I will hold off until that is resolved. In the meantime, I'm just trying to get anyone to let me know if they are running 2.40 successfully on Sierra.
I am running release 2.46 in Sierra Beta. Works just fine, except for one problem (carried over from Beta): First selection of any program loads the print window.

I also use Nightly/Aurora without any problems. I know this is months late, but trying to find an answer before simply moving to another browser. Mac user since 1984 and early Netscape tester. When I moved to Sierra, most recent nightly builds would not load.
