Don't know about you but I get annoyed when my browser is minimized and should do nothing and yet keeps on using CPU. As I usually have many tabs open identifying which one is running the nasty poorly written CPU hogging script takes some time. I wondered if there is an extension or some other way to identify which tab is using CPU time?

If you are not reading email or newsgroups and not browsing, why not just turn SeaMonkey off?
