www.redbox.com continously repaints screen in browser

Post by leishirsute »

Only in Seamonkey, not in Chrome or IE, the site http://www.redbox.com continuously redisplays the home screen, making it impossible to navigate the site with Seamonkey. Are others seeing this problem? Any suggestions for a remedy?

Restart in Safe Mode & see if it persists.

(Regular Profile, NoScript, Allow Globally, uBlock, disabled on the redbox page, I'm not see it. [It does have a "banner" that changes, but otherwise, not the page itself.])

(This also just bumped, 1 site, 1 page continuously refreshes.)
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Safe Mode removed the problem. So it must be an extension.
I usually have Adblock Plus, Send Later, SmartTemplate4, True Full Screen in Seamonkey enabled.
I guess it's a process of elimination now.

What I like to do in such situations is to disable half the extensions and then try. If it works, it must be in the half you disabled; if not, it's in the other half. Then you can narrow it down that way.

I understand. A binary search. Thanks.
Do I have to restart the browser each time I disable extensions?
Also, does safe mode disable plug-ins as well?

Why is "Access Denied"? That is all I get.

(You've been black listed. Err, red listed.
See if the same happens in a new Profile, or with a different browser.)

I get the same thing with Opera and Safari. Since I have not accessed the site before (I had never heard of it before), I see no reason why I should be blacklisted. Maybe they dislike people who block ads and cookies (although with Safari, I do not block first-party cookies)?

I see no reason why I should be blacklisted.
Did I really need to include the : wink : ;-).

Anyhow, since other browsers are likewise affected, maybe they did block "you", your domain, parts of your domain, on their end.
So try accessing them through a proxy? (Can't hurt to try the new profile in any case.)
