HTML 5 Viewer for SM 2.46

Post by Bob Fam1 »

I have SM 2.46. I get a message that the HTML 5 videos can't be viewed. Is there an addon for SM 2.46 for an HTML 5 viewer? Thanks, Bob.

What site do you get the message on?

Have the same problem. Seamonkey 2.46 on Lenovo G580 i3, 64-bit with Mageia 5 Linux.

This URL;
http://www.israelvideonetwork.com/how-m ... mhide=true

and others. Vimeo will not play, any site.

I installed the extension YouTube Flash Video Player and set preferences to HTML5 Video Player. Works.

For Vimeo, I found that you need to have media.autoplay.enabled set to true to work. Maybe that is the problem with Vimeo, but the video worked for me on the linked page without my having to switch media autoplay to enabled.

I have SM 2.46. Win7. I get a message that the HTML 5 videos can't be viewed.
As a test, create a new clean Profile, load your video & see what happens.

Thinking (both of) you changed Prefs, that are thwarting your playback.
(Less sure on the Linux end.)
Fire 750, bring back 250.
