Just noticed that the search suggestions while using the searchbar are no longer there. All forms of search are enabled to be remembers in the preferences. Using SM 2.48

Yeah, I noticed that on 2.48, but it's OK on 2.49. No idea why/how yours came back again though!

Odd, doesn't work here with 2.48, not in Safe Mode either.

Confirmed.
Some sort of issue with SeaMonkey 2.48.
SeaMonkey 2.49 worked as expected, straight away.

frg_away> therube_agone this changes again in 2.49 so I wouldn't worry much. The autocomplete code was twice changed. I had much fun porting it.

What is interesting is that the issue is intermittent. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't in SM2.48.
