Since I installed the new version of SeaMonkey the image installation and editing features do not work. The dialog box refuses to accept a new image, or to allow editing of one already installed.

Hardware: MacBook Pro. OS 13.1 (High Sierra).

Is that, Insert | Image ?
Looks to be working on my end, XP.

The problem is with existing files. If I start a new Composer page it works fine. On an existing file it refuses to insert a new image, and it will not let me edit one (say, change dimensions) that is already there. The dialog box comes up, but does not work.

I am having similar issues. Win-7

Created a new page, saved the page. Went back to insert images, and it would not.
check-box to make url relative to file / page location is inactive.
I tried to create a new file in a new profile, a tip I found at bugzilla, but it made no difference.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling SM a bunch of times.

It seems to be associated with saving. If you start with a new page it works fine until you save it. Then it refuses to insert or edit an image.

It might be a regression introduced in Bug 1322172. Unfortunately this one can't be backed out easily because it closes a moderate security vulnerability with file disclosures. The mail editor treats images now as data urls and this might clash with Composer. Inserting images via clipboard or directly should still work.

Please file a bug but I can't promise a fast fix.

The latest seems to be that a fix may be available this year, maybe not. In the meantime, for HTML editing I went back to 2.46, which can be downloaded from the Downloads and Releases page.
