Making windows resizable

Post by Anonymosity »

Is there any code that can be used in userChrome.css to make a normally non-resizable child window resizable? What is the setting that is used to make something resizable?

Not sure if it applies, but check settings for...

Edit | Preferences | Advanced -> Script & Plugins => Enable JavaScript for; Move or resize existing windows ...

In days of old, you had to use extensions (or bookmarklets) to allow dialog boxes (like this one) to be resizable.

Some dialog boxes in the past, like Ctrl+D (New Bookmark window) were not resizable & you had to revert to CSS in order to change its size.

Depending on the window you might be able to Ctrl+I (Page Info) it, thereby garnering its URL (assuming it is an actual window & not some html5 "blob") & use that URL to open the same page in a "regular" window - that you are able to resize.

Maybe there is something in Developer Toolbar?

And all that said, CSS, extension, bookmarklet to allow "any" window to become resizable, don't know?
