Have to leave SeaMonkey behind on one computer

Post by mitrichr »

I have been forced to leave SeaMonkey behind and move to Firefox on one of four computers.

On this computer, SeaMonkey would not paste images into my Facebook pages. Firefox did it with no problems.

I um-installed SeaMonkey , got a new download of the current iteration, and re-installed.

Same problem.

So, now I am stuck using Firefox , which I do not like, until this is resolved.

Any help will be appreciated.

Unless you specifically removed the profile directory, uninstalling and reinstalling the application itself has absolutely no impact on your Profile, which is where saved preferences like your home page and user selected settings reside, and where most problems arise.
Try creating a new profile and test before adding any extensions or changing any settings to see if the issue is resolved in that clean environment. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manag ... ew_profile
You could also use the info in that link to transfer profile data from one of the machines where you are not seeing the issue.
