Hi!
If anyone could help me solve this issue I would be eternally grateful. Seamonkey is crashing for me multiple times per day, and this has been going on for months (at least). I've tried all the things you would expect, disabling addons, reinstalling Seamonkey, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks!

That's not something we would expect. Uninstalling and reinstalling the application itself has absolutely no impact on your Profile, which is where saved data (such as account settings, passwords, browsing history and message files) is stored and where most problems originate.reinstalling Seamonkey, etc.
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

Also, please post the URLs for the last couple of entries found by entering "about:crashes" (without the quotes) in the browser location bar.

You know, it's been a very long time since I tried it in Safe Mode, but I'm fairly certain it crashed that way as well. Because it's been awhile, I will run it that way again for awhile.

Um, what I said was "If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?" I saw that you had tried disabling add-ons (extensions?) so the next diagnostic step would be a new profile.

Sorry, I understood what you said I just thought perhaps I should verify my memory is correct by trying safe mode one more time - no disrespect intended! I'll test a new profile for awhile and see what that gets me.

Yes, you should verify your PC memory:Madrone wrote:[...]I just thought perhaps I should verify my memory is correct[...]

Free edition will be good for this.
Besides you can turn off hardware acceleration in SeaMonkey:
Menu -> Edit -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Content -> uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Restart SeaMonkey.

Also make sure you graphics drivers are up to date. The crashes seem to be deep in core code. If you run Firefox does it also show these problems?

Btw. 2.49.3 just arrived but I doubt it will solve your problem.

All three reports point to sysfer.dll (something from Symantec?).
(Additionally, two of them also point to msmpeg2vdec.dll.)

Fire 750, bring back 250.

I'm ready to tentatively say I believe the problem is resolved. Bad RAM module, it would seem.
