Ebay squashing Seamonkey

Post by Ztruker »

I just got this from Ebay.
Oh No!
We noticed that you’re on an outdated web browser that may compromise your security as you shop online.

As of June 19, 2018 you will no longer be able to check out on eBay with your current browser.
Update to the latest version now so you can continue
to check out safely and securely.

Ztruker,

FWIW, I just logged into eBay with no problems using SM.

Depending on what they're looking for, you may only need to do something like spoof your useragent.
Or nothing at all.
Stop back in a weeks time & tell us what they say.

There is nothing "outdated" (particularly) in SeaMonkey, security-wise as far as that's concerned.
(IOW SeaMonkey supports all that is need to securely access any website.)
Fire 750, bring back 250.

Odd. I just bought something off Ebay UK and didn't see any of that.

I also got the Ebay message and was very suspicious of it. I plan to do nothing.
