Got this in my email after upgrading to latest Seamonkey version 2.49.3 .
In fairness, I hadn't visited ebay.com in a while.

That's odd for 2 reasons. Firstly because I don't get that message at all with Ebay.
But, mainly because that end of June stuff actually relates to the date when Ebay is insisting on TLS 1.2 or greater (it's a security, bit like SSL) and SeaMonkey already supports 1.2 by default and if you change a setting in about:config it'll support 1.3.

I only got the message from ebay by email.
I can still get to the website, but I have not tried buying anything.
Here's the browser based message I received by email:

Maybe I didn't get it because I only buy, not sell, on Ebay?leishirsute wrote:I only got the message from ebay by email.

Anyway, I reckon I got that wrong, I was thinking of Ebay's PayPal side - http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14802480 The security of PayPal is harder/stronger than Ebay, but it's possible that message relates to a 'just Ebay' thing. Doesn't matter if it does, easy enough to get around as that's just another override entry, whereas if your browser doesn't (this one does) support the TLS they want, then you really are stuffed.

It might still be related to paypal as the message states "check out" will no longer be available with the unsupported browser.
To me, "check out" means final purchase process.
