which option ?

which option do i uncheck in order to clear private data after closing seamonkey, but still enable the other option to "restore previous session" on browser startup

Under Privacy > 'Private Data' in Preferences.

With a quick look, appears one does not affect the other.

If you used Private Browsing, that would not be retained in session history.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
