Skype 2.29 and Seamonkey Memory Usage

I have been having WIN7 computer lockups using Skype 8.29 and SM. I get a message that there are two many 32 bit programs running at times. I have 16MB RAM.

If I open and close Skype several times when I look in my Task Manager I still see two or up to four times entry of skype32.exe. I have a jpg but cannot figure out how to insert it.

I have been doing research on the net and saw a video of the same problem. It turns out if you don't have IE as your default browser each time you close Skype it remains open in the Task Manager. The same thing happens with Chrome. It only quits if you use IE which I hate.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks for the image info. I tried changing the title but could not.

Skype does not install an extension nor inject itself into SM.

It turns out if you don't have IE as your default browser each time you close Skype it remains open in the Task Manager. Bob.

Seems odd, but who knows.
FWIW: What are the system requirements for Skype?
