How can I stop SM mail from switching focus every time I click on a link in a e-mail?
I want the page to open in the browser, but I don't want to leave SM mail every time a link is clicked.
In FF there is a entry under Options/Tabs/ "When you open a link in a new tab switch to it immediately" that can be unchecked. I don't see that here in SM.
If there isn't an entry including the "about" list, is there a work around?

Stop SM mail from switching focus when link it clicked
Browsers that don't have a conventional horizontal Menu bar (where it's been for 25 years) are poorly designed. Period. Stop 'fixing' something that isn't broke!

Right click link in Email and select 'Open in New Tab'. Should be easier than that, but SM is what it is.

Or just middle-click the link.Frank Lion wrote:Right click link in Email and select 'Open in New Tab'. Should be easier than that, but SM is what it is.

Assuming you 'just' even have middle click. If not, then do Ctrl + left click.LordOfTheBored wrote:Or just middle-click the link.

I forget two-button mice were a thing sometimes.Frank Lion wrote:Assuming you 'just' even have middle click. If not, then do Ctrl + left click.LordOfTheBored wrote:Or just middle-click the link.
The mice I've had that predate scroll wheels were all 3-button.

Yes, I have a middle button scroll wheel, but for almost 20 years, I only use the scroll wheel.
Another annoyance and something more to remember. And before someone says something, I have memory problems.
