No themes anymore?

Post by rovf7 »

I have downloaded SeaMonkey 2.49.4 for MacOS. When I got to Add-ons Manager / Get Addons / See all complete themes, i.e.

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/se ... te-themes/

and, for some theme (just an example: "Metal Lion Seamonkey" (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/se ... b-dl-users),click on "add to Seamonkey", the look on Seamonkey does not change in any way.

In addition, if I use the "search" field for the themes, i.e. "Search for themes" https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/se ... ic-themes/, I do get a list of themes (again here one as example: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/th ... -animated/), but they don't show an "add to Seamonkey" button, but just a "Download" button which stores the theme on my computer, but does not install it. Also, the information about the theme just says that it "works with Thunderbird", but not that it would work with Seamonkey.

Now I wonder, are there any themes for Seamonkey, which I can install?

If you download the installer for the theme, it is easy enough to install manually. Open the addons list and drag the file over it and drop it in.

Complete themes need you to restart the browser after installing.
Also, the information about the theme just says that it "works with Thunderbird", but not that it would work with Seamonkey.
Thunderbird has changed how its 'Personas' work and these no longer work in SeaMonkey. So, you go here instead now -
