Seamonkey user-agent problem

Post by paero123 »

Hello,

I've got a problem accessing https://brutalland.pl recently although a few weeks ago everything was fine. I contacted its hosting provider and they say the problem is that I use Seamonkey browser and it's blocked because SM user-agent is used by Internet bots generating a traffic on the servers so they block it. They recommend Firefox or Google Chrome to avoid the problem. Any chance to solve it other way?

All the best

Death, thrash, & doom, & they're going to complain about "SeaMonkey" ;-).

Set an override for them.

about:config -> (right-click) New String
Name: general.useragent.override.brutalland.pl
Value: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:68.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/68.0

That should work.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
