Anyone know how (or I reeky should really say IF) I can export SM's address books to APPLE MAIL? Apple Mail apparently can only import "box" e mails.
So would anyone know how to change SM e mails and address books into an "mbox" format or is it impossible??

By default SeaMonkey stores email messages in mbox format files. They are stored in the profile and will have the same file name as the name of the folder in which the messages were displayed in SeaMonkey. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_SeaMonkey
The address books are another matter. They are stored as .mab files but the data can be exported by SeaMonkey to CSV files which should be something Apple Mail can import.

Many thanks Dan.
By the way since I have a Mac if I would upgrade to CATALINA would I be able to open and use SM 2.49.5 with no problems?
I've read a few things on this on the FORUM and am still not 100% sure if I upgraded to CATALINA would I still be able to use SM as I like SM much better than Apple Mail
Thanks

Re: HOW TO CHANGE SM E MAILS TO "MBOX" FRONT
In the other thread a developer frg said that Seamonkey 2.53.x will work, for now, with OS 10.15. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... 3&start=15
I would not recommend using 2.49.5 with it, but I cannot tell if there was a typo in what frg said regarding 2.49.5, so I can't tell if he said yes or no on it. However, Apple is moving more towards needing things to be signed, etc. Seamonkey would like to support it, but, depending on the fees and such, I think you are right to fear that something could go wrong eventually. Thunderbird has a higher budget, I think, so if there is a fee that needs to be paid, perhaps there is more chance they will be able to. So a less drastic step for you might be getting your mail into Apple Mail, just as a backup and proof that it can be done, and considering trying also getting it into Thunderbird. Make a backup of your Seamonkey profile and try Seamonkey 2.53.x, if you get Catalina. Downgrading any browser will likely be hard unless you keep a profile backup, so definitely do not upgrade any browser or email client without that backup.
Using IMAP makes it easier to use multiple email clients and computers. After having good backups, switching your accounts from pop to IMAP could provide benefits.

2.53.x will work on Catalina, for now. Here is more information on the Notarize problem, and how in the current Catalina the requirements have been temporarily lessened. https://www.macrumors.com/2019/09/03/ap ... -mac-apps/ Also here https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=12232019a
February 2020 it says the original notarize requirements will come back in effect. That could mean more warnings, but I think there should still be a way to run it.

The information on Apples site is vague. We currently don't use a developer ID. Might be that nothing changes. If not you would be unable to develop and run any software not signed and notarized unless you lower security globally.
Notarizing is planned but with the current resources on hand it won't go fast.
