When trying to launch a SeaMonkey email attachment that is an mp4 video, a popup error says the format is not supported.
When launching the same video from the same email existing in the web mail box, it launches fine.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

Dan, thanks, but launching the mp4 attachment in SM email doesn't give any options. It just immediately says format not supported.

Did you try resetting the download actions as described in that article? That should force SeaMonkey to check which action is appropriate for each file type.

Re: mp4 video from SM email
Dan, I just now glanced at it again. The instructions (given my very limited knowledge) appear to be geared toward ThunderBird and not accurate for SeaMonkey.
I believe I'll just live with the problem.
Thanks again.

Renaming mimetypes.rdf or handlers.json in the profile, while the browser is closed is valid for Seamonkey also and could be a fix.
