Is there a way to configure the globe icon at the bottom left corner of the Seamonkey window to either open a new tab or a new window when selected?
Is there a way to may the globe icon create several new windows rather than toggle between 2 open ones?
I've searched the Preferences but could not locate anything.
Suggestions are welcome.

You could use bookmarklets (placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar) to open a new tab (for which an icon already exists - on the Url Bar) or a new window.
Perhaps there is an extension to allow customization of the Component Bar?
