Mail and Address Book are blank sometimes
Another new feature in the 2.53.x branch is that sometimes the Address Book and the mail dialog are empty (except for the chrome). I have to close the window and reopen; it usually takes 3 or 4 times before they are populated.

Moving to SeaMonkey support as no specific bug has yet been identified here.

What? A window with no content is most certainly a bug.

You overlooked the word “specific”. The Bugs forum is for discussion of bugs that have been identified and are noted already on Bugzilla. That’s not yet the case here.

Re: Mail and Address Book are blank sometimes
Similar issue (2.53). Opening the Address Book (Ctrl 5) the first time after launching Seamonkey has a blank display on the right pane (the left pane shows properly).
Clicking different entries on the left pane does not help.
Adding a new entry does not restore the display (but the entry is added).
The info bar at the bottom shows the correct number of entries: Total contacts in Personal Book: xxxx
Exporting the address book (.csv) works properly.
Closing the address book and reopening it restores the normal expected display in the right pane.
