Very strange happening

Two laptops side by side, both windows 10 and latest seamonkey version 2.53.7 beta 1 64bit, both using Duckduck go as search engine.

On one of these laptops, suddenly today, clicking a link resulting from a duck-duck search will not open. Ctrl-click WILL open it in a new tab. Other links in other websites open fine. Links from Google or Yahoo search open fine.

Only the plain paragraph header links in duck-duck searches don't open. The identical duck-duck search on the other computer, the same link opens fine.

The same link on the computer where it is not working will open the same duck duck search link in Microsoft edge.

So, only duck-duck links in Seamonkey on this one laptop don't open. By the way, if we change the setting for links to open in new tab, then single-click does work.

Now, you're going to tell me, try it in safe mode. So I try it in safe mode. Same result, still not working!!!
