Using File | Save As on an individual e-mail brings up a choice of file types, and I can choose 'text' which is what I want. This method saves nothing but the actual message, as text.
However, selecting more than one file, that option doesn't appear, and they're saved as 'mail' by default. This method does save each message as its own discrete file, as I want, but they include all the extraneous stuff I don't want (headers, HTML code, etc.).
Is there an easier way to save multiple messages as text that I'm just not seeing?

You can use the ImportExportTools NG extension to export messages https://github.com/thundernest/import-export-tools-ng

He can't - it's webextension. For SeaMonkey 2.53.x old version only:DanRaisch wrote:You can use the ImportExportTools NG extension to export messages https://github.com/thundernest/import-export-tools-ng

Re: Easier way to save multiple e-mails?
Have you tried selecting the messages you want then printing them as a PostScript file?
On my Linux desktop, I can print multiple emails to a single file (and like name it as "emails.ps") and when I open the file, all of the chose emails are there, one after the other, just as you would see them in the SeaMonkey itself. Would this be a solution for you?

No, I haven't. My plan is to have each message contained in its own discrete file, saved with its subject name as its file name. Later, when they're all done, I'm going to dump them into one file, using each one's file name as a header followed by its message, then something to delimit it (like a line of dashes) from the next message. Does your method retain each message's subject as part of its text?davidb_sk wrote:Have you tried selecting the messages you want then printing them as a PostScript file?

Ah, okay. Yes, the subject line does appear in the document, but this may not be the right solution then. You could print each email to a postscript file of it's own, but then you'd have to do them one at a time and name each one... there's no quick "export" option.LinuxUserSince1991 wrote:No, I haven't. The old version should work with SeaMonkey.TPR75 wrote:He can't - it's webextension. For SeaMonkey 2.53.x old version only:

Right. I'm still using ANCIENT add-ons, which I get to work by a little editing of their install.rdf files, so even if something is abandoned or says it's not compatible, I'm still willing to try!DanRaisch wrote:The old version should work with SeaMonkey.TPR75 wrote:He can't - it's webextension.
